Bribie Beach 4x4 Day Trip!

A quick day trip to explore the wonders of Ocean Beach on the East of Bribie Island on Easter Saturday was epic!

Firstly, it's important to note that you definitely need a good 4WD to access the beach (it's a very juicy 1km drive through the beach access, via Woorim Beach), after which you are treated to 13km of pristine white sand beaches and the bluest of oceans!!

• Walking around Fort Bribie an artillery training and defense facility, perched on the white sands, falling slowly into them, was surreal and gave me goosebumps. My daughter and I could feel the history, it was as if we were walking in 2 timelines at once and we could hear the soldiers moving around and talking.
  

• Behind Fort Bribie is a magical gnarly grove of trees and a secret path, it captivated me and made for some magic pics showing off its energy.
  

• Sitting with my family, on the beach, in the shade of a tree, as the sun was dipping towards the horizon. Enjoying a red wine and cheese selection. Listening to the silence of spacious nature and the gentle waves rolling in. It was beauty sublime, I didn’t want to leave and head home. Next time we will camp, the beachfront campsites are excellent.
  

• Driving back down the beach, listening to an Aussie Crawl classic on Spotify and enjoying a glass of red wine as Roger drove, gazing out across the ocean blue to Moreton Island. I felt so joyful, alive, expansive, and free- a true experience of AWE that energised me for days afterward, and I still feel it when I look at the pictures here.
  

• Wrapping up our day trip, under a pink sunset sky at a beachside Mexican diner at Pigface on Woorim Beach, with delicious and affordable authentic cuisine and a cold Corona with Lime.

It was an exceptional way to quickly recharge the batteries and feel like we had had a big holiday, in one day trip! It was only a short drive from us at the Sunshine Coast, and it allowed for spontaneous awe-seeking! “Keep Exploring!!”
